So, even though I’m still pretty new to this blog thing – I’m gonna come out swinging. I’m not going to hit you with some obscure, you’ll-never-eat-there-unless-you-live-here-and-know-the-secret-password-to-get-in-burger. I’m gonna solve your quarantine burger blues with my favorite spot right here and now, and the best part? It’s a burger you can get in just about any major city in America – The Standard Burger from Whole Foods*.
I know, I know, what kind of foodie does this guy think he is? You’re asking yourself. A chain?!?! With all the mind-blowing one-of-a-kind places out there? Well, simply put, yes. For now, a chain takes the current top spot in my conventional burger hierarchy. Don’t worry, I’m always on the lookout for a better burger, but for now, just do yourself a favor and go try it, you won’t be disappointed.
With that out of the way, and hopefully some returning visitors to comment that they agree (or disagree) with my culinary choices, I want to recant a story from just this week. Not to bore you with an Insurance story or some sale that you should be jealous of, but a client called, and I was genuinely able to help him. I hope, if nothing else, this blog sheds some light on how to better serve your clients or how to get a better deal by coming to Volaris (shameless but necessary plug).
One of the deciding factors for each restaurant I visit, which definitely weighs heavily on my decision to come back, is the friendliness of the staff and the attention to detail they have when ensuring their customers enjoy the top-of-the-line service quickly. I do my best to provide that same service to my clients. This week, I helped a Cell Tower Climber business owner that ran into a sticky situation; his company insurance policies were canceled by a former business partner. He didn’t know where to go, or necessarily what to do, he just knew he had to get coverage and get it fast – all of his business had to be put on hold until this issue was resolved. He reached out to me around 8:30 pm on Friday evening. After a short chat, I was able to get his business covered with a General Liability and an Excess Liability Policy in less than 24 hours. So, not only did he get the coverage he needed, I was able to help him resume business quickly with all of the proper policies in place to keep his business compliant and his employees protected. His thankfulness was incredibly rewarding, and that’s why I emphasize thoroughness and speed of delivery for every client. This day in age, everything moves at the speed of a click or the “thumbs up” on a post. The world doesn’t stop for you, me, or anyone, so getting the job done well is half the battle, getting it done quickly is the other half.
I’d like to touch on 2 more important items before I go. I’m going to start including my playlists with each blog post, and, I want to hear from you, what are you listening to? How many colleagues are still rocking that one Juvenile song or have you moved on to something new? Secondly, once this lockdown starts to ease up, I’m going to be doing some burger reviews locally around Tampa Bay. For the grading system, I’ll be scoring each burger out of a possible 5/5 Towers (our graphic design guy really wanted me to do towers instead of stars so, what the heck, right?).
Until next time, be safe out there and here it is – my playlist:
Blink 182 – Cheshire Cat
Plini – Handmade Cities
Soundgarden – Louder Than Love
*It should be noted that I divide burgers into 2 categories – Conventional and Unconventional, I’ll save the explanations on that for another time. For this blog, know that I’m speaking of the Conventional burger.
